Photo Diary of an artistic collaboration at Weltmuseum Wien

In September and October Selk'nam activist Fernanda Olivares Molina and artist Nicolás Spencer spend several weeks at the Weltmuseum Wien in preparation for their installation, which will be part of the experimental exhibition starting in February 2023. During their time in Vienna they explored the atmosphere and surrounding the Selk’nam objects from the Chilenian part of Tierra del Fuego island are housed in today, moving from the city into the museum’s permanent collection and finally into the storage. Along the way, there were many exchanges of point of view from and towards the objects and their relationship with their environment with conservators, curators, museum professionals, missionaries and fellow exhibition collaborators.
